Past and future weeks.

Oldest first I feal. .

Last weekend was Bromjam

In 1907 Robert Baden Powell had the idea to hold an experimental camp on Brownsea Island in Poole Harbour where he brought together boys from a variety of backgrounds in what became the very first Scout Camp. From these small beginnings the greatest youth movement that the world has EVER seen started. Scouting is now available in over 214 Countries all across the globe and has over 60 million members
In 2007 Scouts (and Cubs, Beavers, Explorers, Networkers, Fellowship Members, Parents, Leaders, Friends and anyone else that knows us!) will be celebrating 100 Years of Scouting. In Bromley this is being celebrated with our BromJam 2007 event being held at Downe Campsite over the weekend of 6th-8th July 2007

Which was quite a blast. Some people got very drunk and others not so.

On Thursday i had a job interview, there was 2 positions going but unfortunately i did not get any of them. Though i was the 3rd choice.

Next week is Beltring and me and my brother have been invited to camp with people who have a fare few military landrovers. I should be taking my camera so expect some photos.

Phone woes and back from the wilderness

Posted on August 30th, 2006 in Camping, Scouts, Blog by Mumbles

Well that last holiday really was a wilderness as far as technology was concerned as I lost my phone on the first day. It was either at Heathrow security or when I was on the plane. I have rang up all the lost and found people but haven’t got a reply – my phone has now been blocked and I am getting a new sim card in the post. Dose anyone have a phone I can use?

The only bit of technology I had with me was my mp3 player. But as we where camping in the middle of a field by a river there was nowhere to plug my phone in.

The trip out went smoothly although we did spend a while waiting in the departures gate trying to get though. We got there to a downpour which kind of set the tone for the entire week.

More on the activities for the week on the turnip site.

Getting away from it all.

Posted on July 21st, 2006 in Camping, Scouts, Blog by Mumbles

Well This coming week I will be in Longridge Scout Boating Center , which is near Marlow. www.longridge.org.uk .

I will be offline for the whole of this period and probably without a phone for most of it as well. Due to the fact that orange do not do a in car charge kit for my SVP C550. I do have a unlocked nokia that I’ve borrowed off the next door neighbor so if I have reception I should be in emergency contact. So please do not e-mail me as ill probably be coming back to a full inbox as well. Unless I find a computer I can hop onto there. There wasn’t one a few years back.

This is the last post from me for a while. Not that any of you will notice though. Thank you to those 25 of you that read the blog. Well according to my stats there’s 25 of you throughout the week.

Allergic reactions are a pain.

Posted on June 12th, 2006 in Scouts, Blog by Mumbles

After getting an allergic reaction to something over the weekend I now itch a lot. But my dad has got it worse and is now taking steroids and antihistamine to try and combat his. We think its something to do with the horthorn bush we where trimming on Sunday at the scout hut. Itchy skin and hot weather do not mix.

The Weekend

Posted on April 23rd, 2006 in Computer, Scouts, Blog by Mumbles

This weekend has been a good one. On Friday night after scouts Steve and I went round to buddy’s house and drank and talked into the small hours of the morning. Talking about general stuff and reminiscing about Gambia and other things.

On Saturday night it was Planks 21st birthday so – we went to a Chinese restaurant in Beckingham - where I managed to brake a chopstick in half and also manage to spend all my money. We then went to O’neils where the price of a pint was high as per normal.
